Mock Turtleneck? Too hot, I'll go mock draft

Yeah, sadly Mock Draft isn't a beer on draft at all...it's NBA Draft time, as some of you know, I love drafts almost as much as I love brackets, but I love telling people I was right a lot, but not as much as either. I will throw down my mock at the Loomega of this entry as most of you couldn't care that the Thunder have a Lake Superior amount of picks in the first round this year. The best part about it is that you get to hear David Stern announce "The rights to" trades and the deputy commish comes in and gets nasty with it in the Second Round. Watching this and doing mock drafts as a kid was possibly my favorite thing to do as a kid. I'd make my parents or Phil do mock drafts and compare at the end and I'd always be upset with whomever the Lakers decided to choose...with the exception of when the LakeShow snagged Farmar late and Walto early..good year, like a fine wine.

If you would have said to me in March that the Royals will be leading the Majors in hitting and still be 12 games under five hundo, I'd have said you were Fish-nutz...if youu said Strasburg would come up prior to September, effortlessly dominate, and be the first reason DC fans paid attention to baseball I'd have said..highly unlikely. Wow. I could ramble ramble about this for days. I'm just Witchta State Shockers about it. That's all. Big ups to KC for mowing down Strazzy yesterday. Boomer Sooner or later Yost will have to realize that Kendall is not a #2 hitter and doesn't need to play every day. Hopefully we can get some sweet payback for Guillen, who is utterly on fire with his 16-game hitting streak. Win, win, win for us, get rid of his ridiculous salary, move DDJ back to LF, and get prospects in return...and free up an OF spot for Gordo or a DH slot for the Big Hawaiian. Stay tuned, I got tix to all three games this weekend. Score!

Beer of the Week:

Tossup. I hate when Wilbon pushes, but I had three outstanding beers this weekend in Omaha at a place that serves champagne on tap. I narrowed it down to two, and really one is a centemental fave...you just don't see the big boys making and marketing amber beers like they used to. Killian's Irish Red was the big dog at the dogpark when I was in Rolla, pitcher of Killian's please! Amber bock has withstood the test of time, this could catch on, but for some redic reason they are only selling it in Nebrasska. It's Boulevard's Amber Ale and it is exquisite!!! The Lucky Bucket was the other. It is made right there in Nebraska and bars run out of it nonstop because they can have a bad batch and their production isn't Godzilla. If you're up there, try both. You won't be upset.

Game of the Week:

World Cup on the Iphone. This thing is pretty solid and it was only $3 bucks. Winning world cups on the crapper makes me feel dapper.

Movie of the Week:

Dude, Where's My Car. This is in honor of my buddy Aaron who constantly misplaces his ride. After this weekend, first thing I did was pop this in and enjoy. Why did saying Shibby never catch on? Timeless.

Jam of the Week:

The Kids by B.O.B. Featuring Janelle Monae. Anything in a reggae/rap style that mentions being trapped inside the matrix is catchy. I got hooked on it at my desk at work and on the plane, and when someone busted it out on the speaks on the rooftop kegs'n'eggs party in downtown Omaha....I knew it was golden goal. Loomsbestdayever.com...hahaha haven't been to bigdaddy to grab this one up. Honestly, I probably wont...but it would be supersweet.
